Mercury Institute:
Investigative Agency and Financial Analysis
Our History:
a family tradition since 1995
It all began long before the official founding. Francesco Fazio (born in 1969), the current owner of the Mercurio Institute, gained his experience firsthand, working alongside his father since he was 20. The beginning was what's known as "apprenticeship": services performed with precision and diligence at the Chamber of Commerce, the Court, and the registry offices of Naples. A seven-year apprenticeship during which Francesco learned that a mistake during an investigation can be multiplied tenfold in subsequent phases.
In 1997, with his father's retirement, the baton was passed: Francesco acquired the Prefectural Investigation License. Since then, the agency has retained its historic name of "Istituto," the term used at the time for structured agencies, reflecting a professional continuity that has never been interrupted.
The Digital Evolution:
specialists in asset investigations
With the arrival of the new generation, Istituto Mercurio has made a bold strategic decision. Driven by a passion for information technology and big data analysis, Francesco Fazio has decided to abandon the "traditional" sector (stalking and marital infidelity) to specialize vertically in debt collection and financial investigations.
As our longtime collaborators retired, the Institute formed a new team of analysts, capable of operating not only locally but nationwide. Thanks to telematics technologies, we have eliminated distances: today, we coordinate complex investigations from our single office, offering clients in Milan, Rome, or Palermo the same efficiency, without any additional costs or travel expenses.
Our focus is clear: to provide the best possible financial reporting available on the market. We don't just find a bank account, we investigate the available liquidity; we don't just look for income, we verify the ability to secure a fifth of your salary; we don't just track down current real estate, but also search for potential transfers for revocation.
Legal Certainties:
dual license and
Authorizations throughout Italy
What sets the Mercurio Institute apart from the crowd of generalist agencies is the dual official accreditation we have achieved. We are one of the few organizations in Italy that can boast experience in:
- License pursuant to Article 134 of the Consolidated Law on Public Works (TULPS) for investigative activities, issued by the Prefecture of Naples.
- Debt Collection License, issued by the Naples Police Headquarters.
Our Debt Collection license allows us to operate legally throughout the country without the need for additional local authorizations. The owner regularly attends refresher and advanced training courses to ensure the highest quality of asset investigations commissioned by lawyers, colleagues, business owners, and private individuals throughout Italy.
Our philosophy is encapsulated in the owner's favorite quote:
"If you think a professional will cost you too much, it's because you have no idea how much an incompetent one will ultimately cost you."
